The Central Black Sea Region is the middle part of the Black Sea Region. It extends from Melet Stream to the east of Sinop. It is inserted more to the south than the Eastern Black Sea Section and covers the entire parts of the province of Amasya with the major parts of Tokat and Çorum provinces. Landforms are simpler than East and West Black Sea. The height of the mountains has decreased and the mountains have been retracted. As a result, agricultural fields and transportation are very developed.
Central Black Sea is the section that receives the least amount of precipitation compared to the Eastern Black Sea and has the least difference between the coast and the inner part. Nevertheless, precipitation is abundant and there is no dry season, as rains are distributed evenly throughout the season. Contribution to Turkey's economy is mostly agricultural area. The amount of precipitation increases up to 1000 millimeters. Mountains lie parallel to the shore. The main mountains are Canik Mountains, Akdağ, and Kocadağ. In this section, there are more agricultural areas. The lower parts of Yeşilırmak, Kızılırmak and Kelkit Creek are here. They formed Bafra in the region where Kızılırmak poured into the sea and Wednesday delta plains in the section where Yeşilırmağı poured into the sea. In addition, the Suluova, Niksar, Erbaa, and Merzifon plains are located in the inner parts. In this part, rains are less than the eastern part.
